OS X Lion features: First Day, First Show

Few days back,  Apple made OS X Lion available in Mac App Store just in $30. Hoping most of the Mac lovers have downloaded and experienced the most awaiting Apple product OS X Lion till today. According to Apple, OS X Lion contain more than 250 new features such as multi touch gestures, wide screen apps, auto save, filevault2 etc. Despite of these features also expect some peculiarities also. Since Apple is Intel based OS so all the application based on PowerPC will become inaccessible. So, before upgrading to OS X Lion need to think about all those applications

which can effect your performance because some applications such as  Logic Pro 8 will not launch after the upgrade. Read some  OS X Lion compatibility information before upgrading. In addition to this it is also necessary to update snow leopard to latest version,If forget to update Snow leopard before installing Lion you will find the error message shown in fig 1.1

But if everything goes well then you are going to enjoy most advanced version of Mac OS X.  Some of the special feature in first look are discussed here:

Full Screen Apps:

Keeping this proverb in mind Mac OS X introduced full screen apps so that nothing can distract you while working or playing your favorite games. You can see everything from documents, mail to picture using every single pixels of the screen, However, it is not 
mandatory feature it is completely up to the user how he/she want to look the screen.

To go full screen: Click full screen button at top
To Go Window Screen: Click that full screen button again to go back in window screen mode

Multi-Touch Gestures:

OS X Lion presents the new way to interact with OS.  It provide touch pad gestures to the applications in the OS. Only single swipe on the touch pad can change view of the screen. Image below describes some swipe actions

Mission Control: It brings all open windows & apps together to provide you  bird eye view. Just swipe three finger on the touch pad or click Mission control icon in the Dock

Switch between Apps: Need to switch among apps when in full screen mode just swipe fingure from left to right or vice versa!

Two Finger Scroll: Slide two fingure up and down on the trackpad to scroll thorugh the website and document.

Tab to Zoom: Need to look closer look of the website or document just double tab on the tackpad.

Pinch to Zoom: If want to zoom in or out the image just pinch using your thumb and fingure on the touch pad.2

Swipe to Navigate: Flip through the document  or the  web page just like fliping around the book!

Not these only, its just starting of the feature of Lion as already discussed Apple saying Lion have more than 250 new feature. So, there is lot more to feel.
