Recover Data from Corrupt Mac Drive

You might be on the edge of losing all the data saved on the hard drive of your computer until it is backed up, regardless of which operating system is being used. Although we all know that the data stored on a hard drive is never secure, we do not make any effort to back up this data. In order for remedying a situation of data loss, you should be aware of the potential causes of a data disaster.

Refer to the below mentioned events occurring on daily basis and leading to hard drive corruption in Mac.

Hard Drive Structure
Hard drives are likely to be a mechanical structure of the electronic and magnetic equipment i.e. Spindle motor, Circuit board, Magnetic platter, Read/Write head etc. If any of this equipment meets with some issue, the complete hard drive becomes useless. Physical failures also introduce logical data corruption when misaligned read/write heads come in contact with the platter.

Disgraceful Shutdown of the Mac Machine

After all work is done, shut down the Mac properly i.e. Go to the Apple icon and click Shut Down. Do not go for forced shutdown by pressing and holding the power button unless you are constrained to do so. Additionally, make sure all programs and windows are closed.

Abrupt Power Failures

Power failure or disconnection while the system is on high workload may also produce corruption in the file system used on the hard drive. When the file system gets corrupt, you face intermittent problems ranging from random errors to completely inaccessible drives.

Variable Power Supply

The fluctuations in the power supply may cause short circuit or a burn in the hard drive circuit anytime. Therefore, make sure the Mac is getting constant power supply by connecting it to a UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) to avoid any issue.

Though a hard drive may suffer from logical as well as physical corruption, you can recover the data using Data Recovery Mac software only if the Mac is able to recognize the drive. In case Mac detects the corrupt hard drive, move all essential data to another hard drive before a disaster strikes. However, if it is not detected, meet some data recovery experts to regain the data.

Tip: Back up all essential data immediately whenever some unusual sounds or behavior from the hard drive is noticed.
