Effective Tips to Speed Up your Slugging Mac

Your Mac is one of the most valuable thing for you that keeps you up all the time. You smoothly perform all the tasks on your Mac machine. You may have developed a sort of unswerving bond with your machine that makes you worry each time your Mac goes haywire.

As a known fact, your machine cannot remain in the same working condition as it was on the first day. As of now, your Mac starts slowly and takes a longer time than usual to run programs, save data files and perform other similar tasks. You may also find that some of your data files are missing or are moved to a different location. This may happen due to myriad factors. If you want to get rid of your bloated or sluggish Mac and tune your system performance, you should try to follow the below mentioned tips:

Upgrade the Processor:
You can try upgrading the processor in order to speed up your Mac. This, indeed, is not an easy and cost-effective way to resolve this problem. However, this option can give you a major performance booster.

Clean 'Startup Item' folder:

It is seen that a few programs on your Mac automatically start running after performing a reboot of the machine. These programs eat up a valuable amount of memory. To remove these items, you need to go to 'Menu > System Preferences > Accounts > Login Items'.

Remove the unwanted widgets:
A number of unwanted widgets running in the background is one of the major reasons for Mac slowdown. You should immediately disable all the widgets on your dashboard that you do not require anymore.

Repair disk permissions:
You can use the Apple's Disk Utility to easily repair file permissions on your Mac boot volume. This will enable you to fine-tune your Mac system and restore it to the original settings.

Clear all caches:

The collection of a large number of temporary files in the overflowing system, user and font caches may drag down your system performance. You can run the following terminal command to empty these caches:
'atsutil databases -remove'

Another remedy to this problem is to use a reliable third-party Speed Up tool like SpeedUp Mac. The software incorporate a set of dedicated procedures to make the whole Mac optimization process a snap for the end users. It effectively work on the boot volume and other secondary Mac volumes to remove all unwanted data and applications from your Mac.
