Mac Boot Camp Assistant Fails to Create Partition

Mac Boot Camp is a Mac application that allows you to install Windows on your Intel-based Macintosh computer by using the Windows installation disc. The Boot Camp Assistant is the tool that creates a partition so that Windows can be installed. Before doing so, the application checks the target disk for integrity. Make sure that the journaling feature for the disk is turned on through 'Enable Journaling' button or using the 'File' menu

Use Disk Utility to repair the corrupted Mac OS X volume:

Insert the Mac OS X installation disk and start your computer while holding 'C' key at startup

Select 'Disk Utility' from 'Utilities' menu and use it to repair the volume. If Disk Utility fails to repair, reformat the volume and restore data from backup. Use a third-party Drive Recovery Mac program while any backup concerns.
